Believe in yourself Cowgirl…

I’ve always been told to “believe in yourself”. Truthfully, I didn’t know what it meant or how to even begin do it. Amping myself up, repeating “you got this”, didn’t seem to be cutting it.

I’ve always been told to “believe in yourself”. Truthfully, I didn’t know what it meant or how to even begin do it. Amping myself up, repeating “you got this”, didn’t seem to be cutting it.

The more time I spend in the Word, the more countless times I read how intricately I am made in the image of God. Following that seemed to be a longer period of time that I would label knowledge. I could see what God could do, but I didn’t see it in myself. As I stayed hooked, prayed for a renewed spirit, and surrounded myself with people that believed in me more than I believed in myself, I’ve gained a pure understanding of who God has created me to be. A realization that I can rely on the Holy Spirit to guide me everyday in the character God has graciously given me — no matter what the past has included — I am a child of God. One that is loved so deeply, forgiven, a royal priesthood, one given hope for my future, not to be harmed, knowing all things are going to work out for the good because I love the Lord. A true identity that allows me to be God-fident in who I am and my intentions for my daily walk.

I don’t have to be like him or her, just the masterpiece God has created me to be set out to do the work he has already prepared me for, fully equipped. No more, no less.

Believe in yourself, cowgirl, you’re made by the Almighty Creator.

Signed,

A Cowgirl, xoxo
